India’s female labor force participation is < 20%. There are multitude reasons why this is and as a responsible corporate Lodha is inclined in addressing this issue with initiatives to empower women - both within Lodha and in the community.
Women’s economic empowerment initiative, Lodha Unnati, aims to address the barriers that keep women from being a part of the formal workforce. This includes internal and external efforts to expand and support women in the workforce both within and outside Lodha.
We currently implement the Unnati Skill Development Centre, which offers women job readiness and placement services. Internally, we are supporting Lodha’s first-ever all-women construction management team. We also launched the Women in Construction Network, designed for women professionals in the construction industry to increase their participation and create enabling conditions that support women unleash their potential.
