Anoop Kamat, resident of Palava City by Lodha, shares how they have flourished as a family
I grew up in Goa, so natural greenery and open spaces were an integral part of my childhood. We were secretly hoping to find a place where our little daughter could experience something similar.
When we came to see Palava City by Lodha, we were blown away. Although we had heard a great deal about how Lodha creates spaces where one can live life to the fullest, and at Palava we could see it for ourselves. The beautifully landscaped open spaces, the waterfronts and fresh air made the Goan in me really happy. We knew this was where we wanted to raise our daughter. We had found our home.
Over the last six years our Palava home has been a lot more than just the space we inhabit. Watching our daughter grow up here is an absolute joy. As parents, it’s not easy to strike a balance between modern education and a connection with our roots and culture, but being at Palava has made that feel effortless.
The vibrant community here that comes together to celebrate festivals and events gives us a sense of warmth that is very Indian at its core. The blend of world class infrastructure with the feeling of community is beautiful.
In the world we live in, I feel time is an absolute luxury. Living at Palava frees up a lot of time that would otherwise be spent commuting, as we have schools, gyms and even a mall within walking distance.
When my daughter was born, I bought a camera to capture the moments of her childhood. Not only did Palava become the perfect backdrop for my daughter’s childhood to unfold against, my passion for photography grew.
Even a simple walk down the promenade or sitting next to the waterfront and watching the sun go down became the perfect setting for cherished family photographs. As my photographs started to get noticed, many enriching collaborations and friendships followed with other photography enthusiasts.
Our home has always been an integral part of our lives, even during the pandemic. Due to online classes my daughter had to be indoors, but we felt connected to nature thanks to the ample light and fresh air that filters in our home.
I have always wanted the best for my family and our Palava home is the perfect example of that. The three of us have grown leaps and bounds here as individuals and flourished as a family too. We look forward to enjoying it for the years to come and creating joyful memories each day.
